AFTERBABY · PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy, in plain language

Effective date: August 19, 2026 · Operator: Emily Rose Green ("we," "us")

The short version: AfterBaby collects nothing. Your health information never leaves your phone. We have no servers holding your data, no accounts, no analytics, no ads, and nothing to sell — because we never receive your data in the first place.

1. What data AfterBaby handles

AfterBaby lets you record deeply personal information: your name, your baby's birth date, your physical recovery (bleeding, pain, sleep), your mood, and wellbeing screening (EPDS) results. All of this is stored exclusively on your own device, in your browser/app's local storage. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else.

2. What we collect on our servers

Nothing. AfterBaby has no user accounts, no backend database of user content, no analytics or advertising SDKs, and no trackers. We cannot see, access, restore, or sell your entries — even if you ask us to, we genuinely do not have them.

3. Network requests the app makes

The app loads its typefaces from Google Fonts when the page first loads. Like any web request, this shares your IP address with the font server; no health data or identity information is included. The crisis and support links in the app (988, Postpartum Support International) dial or open those services directly — we are not part of that communication.

4. Your controls

5. Children

AfterBaby is intended for adults (postpartum parents and caregivers). It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them (or from anyone, per Section 2).

6. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

Privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to opt out of its sale. Because AfterBaby stores your data only on your device and we collect none of it, you exercise all of these rights directly on your device — and there is nothing held by us to request, correct, or opt out of. We have never sold personal information.

7. Health information disclaimer

AfterBaby provides general educational information and self-screening tools. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional care. We are not a HIPAA-covered entity; the protection model is simpler and stronger — your data never leaves your hands.

8. Changes to this policy

If AfterBaby ever adds optional features that involve data leaving your device (for example, cloud backup or community features), we will update this policy first, explain exactly what changes, and make every such feature opt-in — never silent.
